Freddy Krueger returns in A Nightmare on Elm Street, a contemporary re-imagining of the horror classic. A group of suburban teenagers share one common bond: they are all being stalked by Freddy Krueger, a horribly disfigured killer who hunts them in their dreams. As long as they stay awake, they can protect one another but when they sleep, there is no escape. Jackie Earle Haley stars as Krueger.

Best New Movies Coming Out in 2010 Revealed: February Releases http://newmoviereleases.blinkweb.com/1/2010/02/best-new-movies-coming-out-in-2010-revealed-february-releases-bd7e2/ Movie Trailer: "Mother" (HD)
A Nightmare On Elm Street (Trailer 2)

With so many new movies coming out in 2010, it's difficult to know which ones are the best, the ones worth paying the ever-increasing ticket prices for. Don't waste your time and money at the theaters before you preview the new movie trailers and read some reviews. I hope you're excited, because I am. Some of the best new movies of 2010 are coming out in February. The first Friday of the month, February 5th, coincides with the release of Dear John, District 13: Ultimatum and From Paris with Love.
Dear John stars Channing Tatum playing John Tyree, a young soldier back home on leave, and Amanda Seyfried playing Savannah Curtis, an idealistic university student who John falls in love with during a spring vacation. John's increasingly dangerous deployments force their relationship to be tumultuous and unsettled, keeping the couple constantly separated.
While only meeting periodically, they keep in contact through a continuous stream of love letters mailed overseas, a correspondence that leads to fateful consequences for the couple. I already envision millions of female fans lining up at the box office falling head over heels for Channing Tatum. No doubt, Dear John will probably be one of the top romance movies coming out in 2010.
District 13: Ultimatum dictates the story of elite police officers Damien Tomasso, played by Cyril Raffaelli, and reformed vigilante Leito, played by David Belle returning to save the notorious District 13, a dangerous ghetto thriving with murderers, drug dealing gangs, and ever increasing violence.
Although the government promises to maintain stability, the state of the district has continued to deteriorate. Corrupt policeman and city officials are planning behind the scenes to stir up civil unrest in District 13, to set up a plan to raze the area and profit from its redevelopment. Damien Tomasso and Leito must work together and combine their skills in martial arts to maintain peace in the area doing whatever is necessary, before nuclear technology backed by corrupt officials annihilates the place. This adrenaline charged sequel takes the death defying action from the original to groundbreaking new heights. Personally, I'm very anxious to see this film. The trailer itself is already one of the best trailers for movies in 2010 I've seen. This will easily be one of the most anticipated new movies coming in February.
From Paris with Love details the enviable life of James Reese, a personal assistant to the U.S. ambassador in France whose real passion is his other life as a CIA operative. Reese simply wants to move up the ladder and see some action. When he's offered his first senior-level mission, he feels godly with good luck, until he meets his partner Charlie Wax (John Travolta).
Wax, a trigger-happy, wise cracker, adrenaline junkie who is in Paris preventing terrorist attacks, leads James on a shooting spree through the underworld of Paris leaving James praying for his office job back. But when James finds he's being targeted by the same group of criminals they're trying to arrest, he realizes there's no way out or back, and that Wax may be his only hope for making it through the next day alive. Indeed, another greatly anticipated movie with an excellent trailer that will probably top the charts as one of the best new movies coming out in 2010.

A Nightmare On Elm Street (Trailer 2)

Hye-ja is a single mom to 27-year-old Do-joon. Her son is her raison d'etre. Though an adult in years, Do-joon is naive and dependent on his mother, and a constant source of anxiety, often behaving in ways that are foolish or simply dangerous. Walking home alone one night down a nearly empty city street, he encounters a young girl who he follows for a while before she disappears into a dark alley. The next morning, she is found dead in an abandoned building and Do-joon is accused of her murder. Thanks to an inefficient lawyer and an apathetic police force, Do-joon's case is quickly closed, but his mother refuses to let this be the end of the story. Trusting no one, Hye-ja's maternal instincts kick into overdrive, and she sets out to find the girl's killer and prove her son's innocence.

Movie Trailer: "City Island" http://newmoviereleases.blinkweb.com/1/2010/02/movie-trailer-city-island--bd575/ Tyler Perry's "Why Did I Get Married Too" (Teaser Trailer)
Movie Trailer: "Mother" (HD)

Set in a quaint fishing community on the outskirts of New York City, City Island is a hilarious and touching tale about a family whose comfortable co-existence is upended by surprising revelations of past secrets and present day lies. Vince Rizzo (Andy Garcia) is a lifelong resident of the tiny, tradition-steeped Bronx enclave of City Island. A family man who makes his living as a corrections officer, Vince longs to become an actor. Ashamed to admit his aspirations to his family, Vince would rather let his fiery wife Joyce (Julianna Margulies) believe his weekly poker games are a cover for an extramarital affair than admit he secretly taking acting classes in Manhattan. When Vince is asked to reveal his biggest secret in class, he inadvertently sets off a chaotic chain of events that turns his mundane suburban life upside down. Inspired by the exercise, he decides to bring his long-lost ex-con son Tony (Steven Strait) home to meet the family, and it soon becomes clear that everyone including his college student daughter (Dominik García-Lorido), teenaged son Vinnie, Jr. (Ezra Miller), charismatic acting partner (Emily Mortimer) and drama coach (Alan Arkin) has something to hide. A perfect storm of deception, half truths and confusion makes Vince and his family members realize that the truth may not set them free, but it is easier to keep track of than all their well-intentioned white lies

"Legion" - Movie Review http://newmoviereleases.blinkweb.com/1/2010/02/-legion-movie-review-bd514/ Tyler Perry's "Why Did I Get Married Too" (Teaser Trailer)
Movie Trailer: "Mother" (HD)

'Angels with machine guns!'...that is how co-writer/director Scott Steward describes the film Legion. And that is how the film has been approached by critics. According to various sources the film could provide what was asked for...but instead of a band of angels with machine guns you find one angel with a machine gun in a war that determines the fate of mankind. Actually the movie should have been a matter of a few seconds, but somehow it managed to drag and last 100 minutes. One would find the film a little funny with absurd ideas and plot premises, but filmmakers know how to present them and keep the audience glued to their seats for that time period plus and asking for more. The featured length movie 'Legion' at 2nd position at the box office chart for its first week is about God's lost faith in humanity. That actually takes place in the middle of nowhere and God sends the Archangel Michael (played by Paul Bettany) to kill the baby that is destined to save mankind otherwise. But Michael disobeys and decides to protect the baby instead and declares that he is giving God what he needs and not what he had asked for. And for his disobedience, God sends his armies of angels to fight this one man army and complete the task which Michael won't let happen.
The occupants of the diner include Dennis Quaid, Charles S. Dutton, Tyrese Gibson, Kate Walsh, Lucas Black, Adrianne Palicki and Willa Holland. Bettany is getting loads of credit for the role though his choice of signing films is known to all. This is his first movie role with an action stud plot. Stewart also took the risk of co-writing the film with Peter Schink who has the writing credit of "Gotham Cafe" an adaptation of a Stephen King novel.
Stewart is known as the visual effect master of Hollywood and he has worked in some previous movies like the The Orphanage, Iron Man, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. Thus as expected his director debut would be full of enthralling visual effects that would make the movie more like a video game. But the audience have no qualms as long as he entertains them with his ideas. Overall it is a good movie but it could have been a better piece of work had the plot been a little more closely knit with a bit more flow.

Even worse, Dre's feelings make an enemy of the class bully, Cheng. In the land of kung fu, Dre knows only a little karate, and Cheng puts the karate kid on the floor with ease. Two Inspirational Lessons from Julie & Julia http://newmoviereleases.blinkweb.com/1/2010/01/two-inspirational-lessons-from-julie-julia-bd494/ Tyler Perry's "Why Did I Get Married Too" (Teaser Trailer)
Movie Trailer: "Mother" (HD)

When I mention Julie & Julia to my musician friends, most of them haven't seen it. The movie was recently released as a DVD. That makes it easier to access. It's a smart idea combining two personal stories, very well done.I have two inspirational hits from this film, one for Julie and one for Julia.
The inspiration of Julia Child is the lesson of finding your passion. She was unfocused until she enrolled in Cordon Bleu to learn to cook French cuisine. That was the pivotal action of her life.
The best seller book, Mastering the Art of French Cooking would never have happened. The TV show would never have been made. It all hinged on that decision to study the subject.
She fell totally in love with French cooking. "Butter!" she says in an early scene. (The French word is even more seductive.) She is glazed and in a trance over butter. And French cooking.
We all need a pivot to turn from just plugging along to really making a song out of our life. (Or a fiddle tune.) You've heard of "find your passion." Julia Child found hers. Everything followed from that.
The second inspiration is Julie Powell's goal-intention-project of preparing all the recipes in Julia's book in one year's time and blogging about it. The ambitious, but doable project and the one year time constraint act as a wonderful motivational goad.
The project met resistance. Of course it would. Somehow, persistence wins.
The subtext of her idolization of Julia Child is an interesting study of emulation. Ultimately her achievement goes beyond the need for approval from her idol.
A few years ago, I had a similar experience. I set out to play one hundred different tunes one hundred times each. To devote this much time to a tune about twice a week was not completely crazy. But it was not easy for my mind to accept. After a while I got into an accustomed process. I just did it.
It raised my level of playing.
This year, inspired by Julie & Julia, I'm choosing a similar project. The big idea is, Publish 100 fiddle tunes from my repertory online. Do this over the next year.
It's fair to say that I strongly advocate the inspiration from the movie. If you have not connected with your passion, consider a big project to get started.
Even, in the harshest case, you are defeated from achieving your target, you will learn so much about yourself, it's worth it.

Movie Trailer for "Ghost Writer" Starring Pierce Brosnan http://newmoviereleases.blinkweb.com/1/2010/01/movie-trailer-for-ghost-writer-starring-pierce-brosnan-bd423/ Tyler Perry's "Why Did I Get Married Too" (Teaser Trailer)
Movie Trailer: "Mother" (HD)

When a successful British ghost writer, THE GHOST, agrees to complete the memoirs of former British Prime Minister ADAM LANG, his agent assures him it's the opportunity of a lifetime. But the project seems doomed from the start not least because his predecessor on the project, Lang's long-term aide, died in an unfortunate accident. The Ghost flies out to work on the project, in the middle of winter, to an oceanfront house on an island off the U.S. Eastern seaboard. But the day after he arrives, a former British cabinet minister accuses Lang of authorizing the illegal seizure of suspected terrorists and handing them over for torture by the CIA-a war crime. The controversy brings reporters and protesters swarming to the island mansion where Lang is staying with his wife, RUTH, and his personal assistant (and mistress), AMELIA. As The Ghost works, he begins to uncover clues suggesting his predecessor may have stumbled on a dark secret linking Lang to the CIA-and that somehow this information is hidden in the manuscript he left behind. Was Lang in the service of the American intelligence agency while he was prime minister? And was The Ghost's predecessor murdered because of the appalling truth he uncovered? Resonating with topical themes, this atmospheric and suspenseful political thriller is a story of deceit and betrayal on every level sexual, political and literary. In a world in which nothing, and no one, is as it seems, The Ghost quickly discovers that the past can be deadly and that history is decided by whoever stays alive to write it.

How "Avatar" Used Animation Like Never Before http://newmoviereleases.blinkweb.com/1/2010/01/how-avatar-used-animation-like-never-before-bd369/ Tyler Perry's "Why Did I Get Married Too" (Teaser Trailer)
Movie Trailer: "Mother" (HD)

James Cameron's "Avatar" uses cutting-edge motion-capture technology to blend the physical performances of the actors with the computer-generated world of the animators in a way that has never been seen before.

James Cameron's new movie "Avatar" has been hailed for its innovative animation techniques. The film broke new ground with its use of motion-capture technology, which took months to develop. The motion picture combines computer-generated characters with live action to produce a spectacle that is mesmerizing moviegoers worldwide.

To achieve the desired effect, Cameron and a team of computer experts created a new type of camera that captured the facial expressions of the actors and digitally recorded them for later use by the animators. Each actor wore a tiny camera that rested in front of his or her face. The images were recorded and then transferred to computers. This allowed for the physical performances of each actor to be translated accurately into the computer-generated animations. In contrast to traditional motion-capture techniques, in which the performances are added to computer-generated scenes in post-production, Cameron could also observe each performance in the virtual world as it was being captured.

Much of the equipment used for the animation in "Avatar" was designed specifically for the film. Despite the high budget and number of years that it took to produce the film, the astonishing animation-and international box office blow-out-have proven worthwhile. Surely, the new animation techniques will be inspiring filmmakers and moviegoers alike for years to come.
